Position Overview:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will use their skill and expertise to help drive HR programs and initiatives at scale. This hands-on role is responsible for providing senior-level HR assistance in the day-to-day workflow of human resources activities needed for a growing global organization. While collaborating with HR colleagues, employees, stakeholders, and management, the Sr. HR Generalist will assist with the development, implementation, and support of programs and initiatives in the areas of HR Operations, Total Rewards, and Employee Relations. The ideal candidate will thrive in an HR Generalist role and, particularly, enjoy the juggling of competing priorities and deadlines that span multiple HR functions and scope. This position will require someone self-motivated, collaborative, agile, and highly confidential.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides day-to-day tactical HR generalist support to various HR functions, in the department’s quest to ensure operational streamlining and a high degree of engagement and service to internal customers; support includes general guidance on company policy, and assistance with Total Rewards, employee relations, and other daily activity that may emerge
  • Develops, executes, and maintains HR programs, policies, initiatives, and procedures that are scalable globally and align with the organization’s business goals and objectives
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with the HR Team, Accounting and/or Legal to create, update, document, or improve policies, practices, and procedures
  • Owns front-line intake and resolution of employee relations concerns; escalating for assistance when an investigation or ADR is required
  • Participates in HR projects; partnering with the HR team and stakeholders to ensure projects/programs are smoothly rolled-out and adopted by users and stakeholders
  • Coordinates the FMLA/ADA process, collaborating with Compensation & Benefits and HR Business Partner functions to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Participates in the off-boarding process; conducts exit interviews and consolidates feedback into a format that’s easily viewable for analyzing trends
  • Performs regular HR audits, in collaboration with other HR functions, to ensure compliance with employment law requirements; audits include I-9’s, pre-employment checks, equitable pay, and other ad hoc HR related audits
  • Works with the HR Business Partner function and external law firm to manage visa and green card processes
  • Manages pulse and annual employee engagement survey rollouts in partnership with the HR Team; monitors employee engagement trends Adheres to the policies and procedures of the company

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • 3+ years of employee relations experience
  • Experience working with enterprise HRIS/HCM systems (Workday experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with FMLA/ADA preferred
  • Experience working in the tech industry a plus
  • HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred

  • Attention to detail: Thoroughness in accomplishing a task for all of the areas involved, double-checking the accuracy and quality of own work product to provide accurate, precise, and consistent work
  • Technical Skills: Strong skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint (iWorks - Numbers,Pages a plus); ability to quickly learn and adapt to HRIS/HCM systems
  • Travel: Occasional local and overnight travel required, including some interstate travel by air.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment. Specific abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally lift and carry or move up to 20 pounds; Near vision; hearing; ability to transport oneself as needed throughout the day; ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time; manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination); repetitive arm/hand movements
