Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist will provide support for day-to-day HR activities needed for a growing global organization. This role will interact regularly with the core HR functions of Recruiting, HR Operations, People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Development, Payroll and Legal. The individual in this role will be an excellent integrator, working and collaborating across multiple HR functions to complete initiatives. The HR Generalist will lead and participate in various projects while managing daily work. The ideal candidate will have experience in varied HR functions, and thrive in a role with multiple competing priorities. This position will require someone self-motivated, collaborative, agile, and highly confidential.

Essential Functions: 

  • Provides day-to-day HR duties that support a broad range of HR activities, including assistance in the areas of HR Operations, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Recruitment, and other ad-hoc activity that may emerge
  • Promotes and maintains new and current HR programs, policies, and procedures; continuously monitoring for necessary changes and optimization
  • Provides support to ER team members when employee relations issues are brought forth or investigations occur
  • Partners with Total Rewards team members on the implementation of HR benefit programs, including the design and coordination of Wellness Program events and processing of education assistance requests
  • Accountable for leading and participating in HR projects; collaborating with the HR team to ensure completion, smooth implementation, buy-in, and adoption and engagement by users and stakeholders
  • Collaborates with the HR Business Partner and Total Rewards functions to support the biannual review process
  • Partners with the HR team to review and document compliance and other HR-related training; monitoring employee participation and ensuring completions
  • Provides design and implementation of virtual and onsite employee engagement activities, in collaboration with the HR team and other departments, to influence and promote exceptional employee engagement
  • Sends and maintains onboarding, orientation, and new-hire surveys; analyzes and reports on the data to create continuous engagement opportunities with employees and make improvements to the processes
  • Assists in fielding Manager-related HR questions and concerns
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the company

Additional Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary back-up for the onboarding and offboarding processes, and other duties performed by the HR Specialist
  • Maintains knowledge of current, local employment laws and best practices
  • Facilitates HR related trainings when needed
  • Ad-hoc tasks and initiatives as assigned

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with some background as an HR Generalist
  • HR experience in at least three different HR functions
  • Experience working with HR systems
  • Experience working in the tech industry a plus
  • HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) a plus

  • Attention to detail: Thoroughness in accomplishing a task for all of the areas involved, double-checking the accuracy and quality of own work product to provide accurate, precise, and consistent work
  • Technical Skills: Strong skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint (iWorks - Numbers,Pages a plus); ability to quickly learn and adapt to HRIS/HCM systems
  • Travel: Occasional local and overnight travel required, including some interstate travel by air

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment. Specific abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally lift and carry or move up to 20 pounds; Near vision; hearing; ability to transport oneself as needed throughout the day; ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time; manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination); repetitive arm/hand movements
