Description

Position Overview:

The Compensation Analyst & Benefits Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating compensation programs across the company. In addition will be responsible for the planning and coordination of the company's compensation plans and benefit packages. Working closely with the HR department, reviewing and updating existing benefit and compensation-related policies, and ensure these comply with current legislation.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in salary surveys and analyze data from survey sources to determine competitiveness both internally and externally.
  • Carries out analytical assignments involving the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual merit increase and incentive programs and budgeting.
  • Analyze data and relevant market trends, develop salary structures and market pricing recommendations.
  • Stays familiarized with market relativity by conducting wage surveys, job pricing and benchmarking, market analysis and analyzing internal data.
  • Maintains job classifications and salary scales.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all benefit-related inquiries for both internal employees and external benefit partners
  • Evaluates existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Leads the Open Enrollment process, including arranging Open Enrollment Orientation sessions / presentations
  • Assists employees with enrollment in benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement savings.
  • Work with Benefit Advisor to resolve any open enrollment issues, and ensuring all employees complete benefit enrollment
  • Informs employees of any changes to their benefits.
  • Answers questions or concerns from employees about their benefits.
  • Keeps employee benefits records up to date.
  • Answer any inquiries related to leave requests and instruct employees on the process of applying for leave when necessary

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a compensation and benefits manager or in a related role.
  • Relevant certifications: SHRM certification
  • Extensive knowledge of benefits and compensation programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Power Point
  • Experience managing benefits and compensation in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong people and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Planning and Time Management: Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and to use time effectively and able to successfully work under tight project deadlines; accomplished manager of time and stress as well as possessing the ability to delegate effectively

Adaptability: Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

Business Acumen: Demonstrates good judgment and strong skills in achieving maximum organizational performance and efficiencies

Problem Solving Skills: Ability to operate as effective tactical as well as strategic thinker; excellent and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills; able to apply independent judgment when needed as well as consult with and provide insightful analysis in a team setting.
