Description

Position Overview:

cPanel provides one of the industry's most reliable and intuitive hosting automation software platforms. The Associate Developer will assist in the maintenance, development, and implementation of software systems and/or applications for market sale. In addition to technical acumen, the individual will need to exhibit strong learning, communication, and interpersonal skills, while working in cPanel’s highly collaborative and results-focused environment. The role will participate in the full development life-cycle and consult with senior colleagues on a regular basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Continually grows an understanding of the key skills and areas of knowledge of a Software Developer I at cPanel, including programming languages in use, testing, Linux environment administration, and web server technologies
  • Ability to complete development objectives with well designed and testable code, based on current cPanel standards
  • Ability to utilize and understand development tools and systems, including version control, project tracking, and the development pipeline
  • Collaborates well with peers and within in a team environment, and actively participates in all team demos and meetings
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the company
  • Exemplifies the Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and Follow-through

Additional Duties:

  • Responsible for meeting software compliance standards
  • Consistently maintains a full workload without direct oversight • Other tasks and duties as deemed necessary
Eligibility Requirements:
  • BS in Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent professional experience
  • Has educational or professional experience with at least 2 programming languages
  • Has an understanding of basic software development through educational or training programs, and/or professional experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment. Specific abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds; Near vision; hearing; ability to transport oneself as needed throughout the day; ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time; manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination); repetitive arm/hand movements
