|Title:||Director of SW Engineering|
We’re looking for a seasoned Director of SW Engineering to help us grow and manage a best-in-class team of SW engineers. This senior position will lead a development team (both front and back end) to build innovative and secure data solutions. In this role, you will partner with product management and other stakeholders to define requirements and to then align engineering resources to exceed expectations. Provides leadership and direction for the Development, User Interface, and Quality Assurance teams
Ensures that cPanel products are developed and perform to expectations by creating standards that are reviewed and approved by product owners, functional managers, and executives.
Leverage experience managing the use of modern SDLC & Release processes and technologies such as Agile, CI/CD, Cloud, and SaaS.
Recruit, retain and inspire multiple software engineering teams and develop engineering culture that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a continuous learning/growth mindset.
Works with partners and stakeholders to define and translate organizational goals into technology solutions, working with internal stakeholders to develop and enhance existing products/services as well as examining outside “off the shelf” offerings to future enhance cPanel’s tech stack
Conducts performance appraisals, Plans for career development of team members and training needs of the department.
Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones and present project needs and technical knowledge.

B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of progressive software development experience
3+ years of experience hiring, mentoring, and managing engineering teams
Experience with deploying custom and shrink-wrapped web-based software products.
Experience in working in teams using CI/CD and agile methodologies
Experienced in setting strategy and prioritizing projects and scope to deliver the optimal business returns.
Extensive in depth understanding of and experience with web application technologies.
Proven experience in developing scalable, reliable and robust enterprise class web products
Experience with development and deployment of large-scale Enterprise applications
Proven track record of delivering high visibility projects on time, budget and quality
Extensive experience with automated testing tools for the automation of functional and performance tests.
