Position Overview:

The Product Manager is responsible for building product strategy and vision with a focus on measurable outcomes in an agile environment. They lead a team of product owners, and work closely with key customers, to create products which customers love.

 

Essential Functions

  • Oversees creation of product strategy, roadmap, and vision
  • Collaborates with a team of product owners to transform strategy into action through epics, user stories, and releases
  • Gains a deep understanding of customers experience to understand their problems and anticipate needs, to identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that drive growth
  • Achieves buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Monitors product market performance to identify problems, opportunities, and success; keeps leadership apprised of performance
  • Performs market research to ensure product market fit, assess the competitive landscape, discover opportunities, and define market and customer segments
  • Develops business plans, product and business proposals, pricing, and positioning strategies
  • Drives product launches, including working with marketing, sales, executives, and other product management team members
  • Evaluates promotional materials and communications to ensure they align with product strategy and the message is effectively communicated
  • Defines measurable outcomes in collaboration with product owner team and leadership
  • Responsible for product life cycle management
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the company

  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills - advanced level of experience and knowledge presenting interdepartmentally and to various levels of management; highly effective oral and communication skills, checking for understanding; able to communicate effectively in all written work, utilizing proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Business Acumen - Strong analytic skills, advanced knowledge of product strategy, product management, SDLC, product road mapping, software launches, and collaboration with Company Leadership and other high-profile stakeholders
  • Teamwork skills - able to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Time Management - Able to manage work time in such a manner that ensures the accomplishment of specific objectives; sets priorities, goals, and timetables to achieve maximum productivity all while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Planning/Organizational skills - use time efficiently and work through large projects with moderate supervision, small projects should be accomplished in a self-motivated manner
  • Adaptability - able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events; able to pick up new skills and knowledge

  • Technical Skills
    • Familiarity with the web hosting industry
  • Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years of experience in a product development or product management role
    • 2+ years of software development lifecycle management
    • Experience with Agile practices and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Travel - Local and/or overnight travel, some by interstate or international air, may be required 

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment. Specific abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally move up to 20 pounds; Near vision; hearing; ability to transport oneself as needed throughout the day; ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time; manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination); repetitive arm/hand movements

  • cPanel is a 24/7 operation and nontraditional or extended hours (including weekends) may be required
