Are you someone who knows how to use technology to make life easier for people who are using it? cPanel is seeking an Employee Support Department (ESD) Employee Operations Specialist to onboard with enthusiasm, maintain and improve its people processes, including answering employee questions relating to internal policies and benefits, and reward employees! Familiarity with webhosting, Agile method a plus.


Position Overview:
As a member of the Employee Support Department (ESD) team, the ESD Employee Operations Specialist creates genuine, trusting working relationships with primary responsibilities for communicating with applicants, new hires, employees, and acting as the company air traffic controller to provide meaningful responses to employee questions about company processes and procedures or to guide them in the right direction. This position is responsible for driving successful onboarding practices, processing relocations, and other company operational and core processes related to ESD. The role requires an individual who is highly detail oriented and it requires exceptional communication and employee service skills in a fast paced work environment.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for driving successful onboarding practices, including pre-hire, hiring, and orientation; managing relocations, background screening, reference checks, placement, and I-9 verifications. Also ensure accurate set up of new hires for record keeping and payroll purposes.
  • Builds great relationships with employees while serving as a subject matter expert on internal cPanel benefits, programs, policies, procedures and referring employees to the PEO as needed to ensure employees have accurate information and guidance. Also involves coaching employees to gain this expertise on their own.
  • Collaborates with ESD to keep the internal wiki up to date and inline with the company’s transparency objectives
  • Collaborates with internal development teams in order to improve and automate ESD business needs and processes
  • Manages current employee referral, recognition, service, life events, and wellness programs and is responsible for designing and implementing new incentive and reward programs.
  • Responsible for owning final off-boarding process.
  • Prepares and maintains compliant employment records, files, and reports, including shared responsibility for maintaining personnel records and complying with employment, labor laws and the cPanel Records Management Policy.
  • Maintains a core daily schedule, as set by the VP of Employee Relations to ensure the efficient operations of the ESD and Legal Departments
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the company

Additional Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Stays current in job knowledge, administrative efficiencies, and employee relations technologies by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
  • Back-up other ESD positions as needed and occasionally submit payroll data
  • Reduces administrative pain points.
  • Performs other duties by collaboration or as assigned by the manager or CEO

  • Technical Skills
    • Strong skills with Word, PowerPoint and Pages
    • Strong skills with spreadsheet software, such as Mac Numbers or MS Excel
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems
    • Tech savvy
  • Education and Certification: Bachelors degree or equivalent years in a HR or similar capacity; PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of HR or similar experience. Scrum/Agile experience with tech talent preferred.
  • Travel: Occasional local and overnight travel may be required, including some interstate travel by air


Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment. Specific abilities required by this job include: Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds; Near vision; hearing; ability to transport oneself as needed throughout the day; ability to sit and use computer workstation, including keyboard and visual display terminal, for extended periods of time; manual dexterity (eye/hand coordination); repetitive arm/hand movements

  • cPanel is a 24/7 operation and nontraditional or extended hours (including weekends) may be required occasionally
