The Senior Marketing Specialist  is responsible for projects and functions that fall under the oversight of the Marketing department that are critical to the effectiveness of the department.  This will include responsibility for effective marketing, advertising, events, content strategy and all other aspects of cPanel marketing related functions.   The ideal candidate will be able to step into the position and use their prior experience to execute marketing projects, manage website, and be a contributing member of the marketing team.     

These are the essential duties for which you'll be responsible
  • Responsible for execution of assigned tasks and participation in items on the marketing roadmap
  • Acts as Content Strategy Manager
  • Writes press releases and public communication about our product Writing, Proofing and drafting.
  • Assists with compliance to the documentations style guide in all external communications.
  • Participates in trade show/conference event planning and execution
  • Leads and mentors the marketing team on project management
  • Supports marketing efforts by providing ongoing support for internal marketing of “cPanel” to employees
  • Assists in messaging, branding, and communication to new and existing customers/partners
  • Creates well-written and effective copy and company literature
  • Collaborates with marketing team on creating marketing presentations, print materials, and newsletters
  • Assists with media buys and online advertisements; generates analytics for media buys
  • Builds brand awareness via press releases, case studies, and print media
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the company


These are the skills, requirements, and experience we require

  • Oral Communication skills - able to communicate orally in a professional and effective manner with a wide range of people
     
  • Project Management Skills - able to create project plans that are consistent with cPanel strategy and goals, baseline experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies OR general project management practices. Communicate with team members, direct report or executives timelines and budgets
     
  • Public Communication skills - superior writing skills to effective present our product to the public; able to communicate effectively in all written work, utilizing proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation; able to craft website copy, press releases, and news articles
     
  • Team Work skills - able to work effectively as part of a team
     
  • Marketing skills - knowledge of online and offline marketing best practices, experience using social media analytics tools and Google Analytics, basic understanding of SEO and strong copywriting  / web content strategy. Experience in the use of style guides for brand continuity. Practical knowledge of conversion methods
     
  • Time Management skills - able to use time effectively in an unsupervised fashion; able to complete projects in a timely manner; able to work with tight deadlines
     
  • Creative ability - able to utilize creativity to work in conjunction with the design team
     
  • Planning/Organizing skills - able to prioritize work activities, use time efficiently and work through large projects in a self-motivated manner
     
  • Computer ability - proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and email application, able to navigate Mac software and internet competently: knowledge of trends and issues in technology such as social media; aptitude for learning new software tools and programs
     
  • Adaptability - able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
     
  • Travel - Occasional local, overnight, and/or international travel may be required, including weekends
     
  • Problem solving skills - able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully; able to apply independent judgment on regular basis in making decisions
     
  • Interpersonal skills - able to interact with co-workers and internal customers in a professional and effective manner
     
  • Math skills - able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
     
  • Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Public Relations
Three years of marketing experience in a mid-level marketing role that includes information architecture, content strategy and copywriting; knowledge of cPanel and web development preferred; entrepreneurial experience is a plus;
